Lorie's Corner-December

Lorie's Corner: WOOT WOOT!!! HAPPY TUESDAY ALL… This month Lorie’s corner is going to be devoted to “THE ROAD HOME.” In the spirit of giving, YOUNG CHEVROLET will be donating all kinds of items to the less fortunate!!  We are going to be loading up the back of a brand new 2014 RED Young ChevroletTruck located on our showroom floor …we are using that as Santa’s sleigh!!!

All of the donated items will go in the back of this truck and then driven to the road home the day before Christmas…What a great way to give this year..and to make some very special people have a” NOT SO BLUE CHRISTMAS!!” I AM SOO EXCITED.. !!  Each week I will be featuring items of need, although please feel free to bring whatever you like to put in the back of our sleigh…

WEEK ONE: I AM FEATURING HATS!!  ( also gloves, scarves, coats, boots ect,)  things of warmth!!!  What a way to warm your heart <3 by giving an item to keep a child or an adult warm this year..little things we all take for granted… !!

                        THE POWER OF A HAT

Some have few, some have plenty, but there’s folks out there who don’t have any!!
There are hats that are worn by young and old,
Even some of those hats have stories they hold!!
Like mine right here, if you could see..why it’s a hat I hold very dear to me!
For it’s the one my dear sweet mother would wear,
Before she died and cancer took all her hair..
Oh the precious memories to hold,
From a hat she wore so brave and bold!!
So as you get up and get ready today,
Which hat shall you wear for work or play?
Such a simple thing when I think about it really,
Have you tried one on just to be silly???
There’s a meaning behind each and every hat
Though some are tall and some are flat.
Some are worn each and every day…
Only the heart that wears it knows what it would say!
Someone out there doesn’t have a hat
Today I would like to focus on that…
So please give a gift with a story it holds
To a person out there who may be cold!!!
Some have few, some have plenty,
REMEMBER THE FOLKS OUT THERE, WHO DON’T HAVE ANY!!!
